Senior LAN Administrator – $110,000
Leading global finance and banking firm seeks a Senior Systems Administrator to maintain the general health of the network and server systems at the Datacenter and Disaster Recovery site, implements improvements as necessary and investigate new technologies, and works for the Network Systems Manager.
The desired candidate will have at least 5 years’ experience in the review and modification of existing procedures for proper operation and maintenance of network equipment and servers, along with operating systems and system applications and the ability to document and periodically update LAN, WAN, network equipment and server configurations. Additionally, the desired individual will respond to network and server alerts and resolve, escalate, and tracks problems to resolution; design, plan and implement necessary upgrades and changes to network and server systems; and coordinate with the security information officer and IT audit officer to insure compliance with recommended security practices and organizational policies. The ability to coordinate with the Disaster Recovery Coordinator to update and maintain the Bank’s disaster recovery site; provide helpdesk support to resolve technical hardware and software problems and maintain the hardware and software inventories is desired as is the ability provide (escalated) support based on experience and (phone) and desktop support as necessary.
