Job Description:
Leading Award Winning Global Banking and Finance firm seeks a Letter of Credit Administrator/Assistant Vice president with a minimum of least five years of Letters of Credit Trade banking operations experience and knowledge of International Trade Operations to be responsible for Standby Letters of Credit processing, second checking and release of transactions under Letters of Credit, Trade Finance, and Documentary Collection. The role is responsible for the review of applications and documents to ensure compliance with all OFAC, BSA, AML, UCP 600 and ISP 98 guidelines and procedures. Additionally the position is responsible for working with the release and amendment, Issuance, Advising, Participation, Transfers/Assignments and LC fee processing. Desired Skills & Experience:
The Letter of Credit Administrator/AVP requires a minimum of five years of Letters of Credit Trade banking operations skills, experience and knowledge of International Trade Operations in the Issuing, advising, amending, paying, releasing as instructed, and reconciling of Letters of Credit Transactions by days end. Required skills and experience includes the Second checking and verifying of transactions, reconciling of L/C fees and ensuring that fees are properly received and applied. Additionally, the selected candidate will be responsible for checking of L/C documents as per L/C terms and conditions, processing payments and performing entries in accordance with the presenting/negotiation bank’s or beneficiary’s payment instructions. The desired individual will respond to all inquiries received from client, Front Office, and correspondent banks providing the required information accurately to support timely resolution of queries and be able to provide management with status of backlog and escalate immediately for any incident. The Letter of Credit Administrator/AVP will be able to provide prompt and reliable customer service, improve departmental goals of delivering a high quality customer satisfaction, and possess strong written, verbal communication skills with be able to work in a team in a high volume department.
